Summah Jammmz

What is the deal with the radio these days? I was just reminded of how much I used to love Hips Don't Lie by Shakira and it made me fully realize the lack of amazing billboard/top 40 jamz for the summer. It could be a little early, but still- this time last year was an amazing time for the summer song, and this summer has nothing so far. Nothing. Don't try to pull any of that Lip Gloss/D.A.N.C.E. shit on me. I want some pop. And I don't mean the kind I can drink. Come on Summer '07!

...and i NEVER turn down a dare

So, starting today, I will be cigarette free for 7 days. It wasn't so much of a dare as a bet between Josh and I. A really unfair bet, since josh hasn't been smoking as long and he made me shake on it in front of our parents, so I had to be like "ugh, please! whatever, no big deal" etc. And it's not really (a big deal, that is) but it will be interesting. I don't know. It's been a while since I've taken a break and even longer since I could count them (that's right, I used to count), so maybe a short hiatus was in order to begin with... we'll see.
"Noooooo!"

Saturday Night Lock Down

I'm not in high school anymore, so I did feel kind of weird being at the Harbor High cast party to begin with. Lidia, Sara and i went to the musical (er, the second half) and after gave Natalie and her friend a bottle of Bacardi and a ride to this house far out in the mountains. After being there for a while and getting tired of carrying around all our beer, we decided to put it back in the car and make trips.

So, we've got purses full of beer and are about to walk back up this awful, long, hilly driveway to the house, when Lidia realizes she doesn't have her keys. We look in her bag, but find the keys locked in the car. A copy of that key doesn't exist, we wouldn't be able to tell AAA where we even were and there is really no one we can call.

We look around and it couldn't be more perfect in terms of tools to usefel for window-breaking purposes. There were big rocks, cinderblocks and even an axe. I knew there had been a reason that I had on glasses. I picked the axe and slammed it into the back window on the driver's side.

Glass went everywhere! We scraped a lot of it out of the car but it was impossible to get all of it. Somehow, i managed to cut the top of my thumb. It was really awkward to have to walk up that drive way and have people be totally grossed out my bloody stump of a thumb, but shout-out to Andrew (who will totally be reading this) who helped me find a hose to wash the glass out.

So, having to break into our own car was kind of a buzz kill, so we left to go vacuum the glass up. Whatever, if it hadn't been Lidia's car, breaking the window would have been really fun.

I'm really hadcore, like this guy.

Serious Delirium

I think I may be getting sick. It could just be a smoker cough revival.
I thought this was appropriate though due to my recent but mild obsession with gza/my long term but mild addiction to coffee and cigarettes.

Can I borrow 10 bucks?

Moochers...are the worst. I've decided that the only time it should be accepted to mooch something off someone is that if something horrible has happened to you. And only the following are okay:

1. A family pet dies/murdered
2. Your entire family is killed/murdered leaving you in debt.
3. You're Kathy Griffin and you're husband just robbed you!

Those are the only acceptable reasons to mooch. Other than that...fuck off.

Btw...Dustin Diamond aka Screech...isn't even fat so why is he on the Celebrity Fit Club.

We'll ride them. Someday...

I just realized that at least once every week for the last month (maybe two), Lidia and I have gotten really stoned and listened to this song. It's almost always stuck in my head.
Don't be jealous.

(Isn't this video really classy? I love all the pictures of the horses that i can only assume are incredibly wild)

MAY-DAY!

May first, often times referred to as "May Day" is today. How quaint? It actually kind of depresses me because I still haven't changed my calendar since march and have no real intentions of performing that time consuming task any day soon. Whatever, my cell phone/computer tells the date for me! pssht- Calendars are so archaic! And this is coming from me, a calendar expert (who remembers the "cove?"). The last time I looked at my calendar was to see when the next full moon was (my calendar is all about astrology, so naturally all it has is the days that the moon does something. Like be there).

The next full moon is tomorrow, by the way, which I found mildly ironic (for no reason) because I've been all into New Moon, by Elliott Smith. I guess it just proves that old habits die hard (or, you know, not at all). It's really just the kind of mediocre, "leave those recordings alone, money grubbing family", material that I only like because of my sentimental attachments to Elliott Smith. I shouldn't dis it though, since I've been listening to it quite a bit. So, if you share similar sentimental attachments, it's a cute (er, I mean, respectable?) album, although very similar to both Basement albums.

Oh well, there you go. A music blog. Impressive right? Wow- Let me expose you to music I've been listening to for the past four years! neat...Whatever, I compiled my list of my favorite 25 hip hop albums, but that was SO last week, so I figured this was about the same thing.
